1894 Peugeot Type 9

1894 Peugeot Type 9

One of the very first automobiles to be built for a private customer, this Peugeot vis-à-vis was a real sleeping beauty that spent over 60 years bricked up in a French chateau before its discovery in 1980. It is one of just 16 known survivors of the 257 Daimler-engined Peugeots. It has been a regular competitor in the annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run since 1981, and in 2002 carried the cherished starting number 1 as the oldest car taking part in this world-famous event.
